This is a simple recipe using very few ingredients hence easy to make at a very short notice.

I have used fresh herbs like Oregano, Thyme, Rosemary, Terragano and Basil but dry mixed Italian herbs can also be used. Portobello or Oyster mushrooms can be substituted for the button mushrooms which I have used in this recipe.

To make it more interesting and filling for kids, boiled macaroni can be added. Perfect to feed hungry kids just back from school.

I have been getting request for this one since a long time. So here’s the recipe…

Ingredients

  • 1 packet Button Mushrooms
  • 8/10 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp fresh cream
  • 2 tsp Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Namak Shamak
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped herbs
  • 1 tbsp Cheese Spread (optional)

Method

Step 1

Finely chop the garlic and the mixed herbs seperately. Chop the Mushrooms.

Step 2

Heat butter in a non stick pan. Add the finely chopped garlic and saute. Add the mushrooms, salt, chilli flakes and saute till mushrooms are cooked. Turn off the heat and add the cream. Mix and add the herbs.

Step 3

Add the cheese spread and mix well. Serve hot with garlic bread.
